Cheap New Laptops Point is a website here to give you various information about laptops - what they are, where is best to buy them from, are they good for gaming (etc).
Firstly, it's best to define the differences between a laptop and a desktop computer. A laptop is a smaller computing machine, designed to be relatively small and so very portable. For this reason it is a popular choice for people who are 'on the move' (i.e. travelling) quite often. A laptop has a built in keyboard, monitor and mouse pad - hence it's sometimes regarded as an 'all-in-one machine'. The below image is an (albeit fairly old) picture of a typical laptop:
On the other hand, a desktop computer is a relatively larger machine - and there are various parts to it. You have the main tower which contains all the hardware (i.e. equipment that makes the computer work), you then have a separate monitor, keyboard and mouse - hence a desktop computer isn't portable. Having said that, since a desktop computer is larger, desktop computers generally give larger performance for the money paid (compared to a laptop).
Whilst laptops traditionally were quite expensive (due to being much smaller than a desktop computer and so having lower performance compared to what you pay), their cost is coming down all the time and you can now get a fairly powerful cheap new laptop for as low as £500 (~$800 USD).
